Recycle

By reusing many of the products already created--such as aluminum, glass, paper, and plastic--we can reduce energy consumption.

The energy saved each year by steel recycling is equal to the electrical power used by 18 million homes each year--or enough energy to last Los Angeles residents for 8 years. Source, Steel Recycling Institute.

Share the Care, Adopt-A-Species

When you participate in this program, you have the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution supports the daily care and well-being of our animals. A Share the Care “adoption” is the perfect (not to mention unique AND unconventional) gift for birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, graduations or any other special occasion! All sponsored animals remain in the custody of Brevard Zoo and no ownership rights are conferred.

Become a Railroad Engineer!

The Zoo Railroad has a long history of community support. The task of the original refurbishing was donated by area car dealerships and body shops. The train tracks were donated and over 100 volunteers helped lay the track at the zoo. As plans progressed for our newest exhibit - "Expedition Africa" volunteers took on the task of re-theming the train engine and cars and assisting with the job of rerouting the tracks...once again, the volunteer spirit made its mark on Brevard Zoo.
