Water Conservation

The availability of clean water is one of the central issues of our time, and we all need to do our part to use this resource wisely. Saving water is simple!

"Avoid bottled water and instead use a reusable water bottle. It takes millions of gallons of water to produce the plastic for single-use water bottles, and millions more to purify the water that goes into them."

Brevard Zoo welcomes you to take part in its Zoo Volunteer Program. As a community Zoo, we encourage public involvement designed to aid the Zoo in all aspects of operation. As a non-profit organization, we are dependent upon and very grateful to our volunteers, who help with everything from special events to educational programs. We know that working directly with animals is not everyone's goal, so we have tailored programs that we feel will offer something for everyone.

Brevard Zoo needs your help in the following areas:

  • Expedition Africa
  • Aviary
  • Landscaping
  • Gift Shop
  • Administrative Support
  • Greeter
  • Contact Yard

  • Animal Handling

The areas listed above require special training and a commitment of at least 6 months of service. High school students 16 and older are also welcome to apply. For complete details on the above volunteer positions, please CLICK HERE.
